The Cobh centre is a four bedroom detached house based in the Cobh community. The house is situated iin an established housing estate near the historic marine town of Cobh. Cobh is a registered single occupancy centre for young people. The downstairs of the house consists of a spacious living/dining area, a kitchen, utility room and bathroom. Upstairs, there are four bedrooms (three double bedrooms and a large ensuite room) and a main bathroom. The house is stylishly decorated with all modern conveniences, including the option of a computer for the young person where appropriate. The house is adaptable to the individual needs of the young person that resides in it. Outside there is off road parking and a spacious garden to the side and rear of the property. The Cobh centre has made strong links with local clubs, businesses and organisations within the town and strives to be part of the strong community spirit of the area.

Glounthaune is a multi-occupancy residential placement in a rural setting in County Cork. We are approximately 10 minutes drive from Cork City. Glounthaune caters for up to 3 children/young people aged 12 to 17 on a medium to long-term basis. The Glounthaune house consists of 3 floors set on large private grounds. The downstairs of the house has a spacious kitchen/dining/sitting room area, lounge, office, games room, large conservatory, toilet and laundry room. On the second floor, there are 2 staff bedrooms, 2 childrens/young person's bedrooms (both ensuite), a main bathroom and staff office. The third floor consists of 2 staff bedrooms, 1 child/young person's room, a therapy/key working room and full bathroom. In addition to the house, the Glounthaune placement also has a games/gym faciliity on the grounds, offering a variety of leisure pursuits, such as table football, air hockey, pool, table tennis and gym equipment. Glounthaune exists to provide children and young people with more positive opportunities in life, who come from a variety of backgrounds and areas throughout the country; they are encouraged to engage within the local community, therefore involving them in local amenities and schools, where possible and practical. Children and young people placed with us will receive the highest quality of services and care achievable. The rights and welfare of the child and/or young person are always considered paramount and are actively promoted.
