Fresh Start Community Support Service provides help and assistance to young people leaving care and their families. Young people leaving care can often feel daunted and overwhelmed by the change in their living arrangements, and Fresh Start Community Support Service aims to provide support, guidance and direction with this change in the young person’s life. This includes ongoing 24/7 On-Call support should the young person require it at any time of the day or night, as they come to settle into their new way of life. Our Community Support Services Team are fully qualified and have a wealth of experience in dealing with young people and the challenges they face in the outside world.
The cornerstone of our Community Support Service is consistent input from qualified Care Professionals who provide direct and indirect therapeutic support, and access to established community services which relate to Fresh Start’s ambitions for the young people we work with, along with ongoing input from TUSLA (Child & Family Agency).
Each family or young person has a different set of needs. Our Community Support Service aims to facilitate these specific needs through our work and involvement, and all supports are tailored to suit the families and children/young people whom we work with.
